2023-2024 Dance Classes

Encore Tap for age 10 & up focuses on a variety of tap styles, including the two most popular styles: Broadway Tap and Rhythm Tap. The class covers tap fundamentals, including rhythm, technique, steps, and terminology, with an increased focus on rhythm and style. A variety of music is used, and sometimes no music is used and dancers tap "a cappella" (with no musical accompaniment) to better hear the sounds made by various tap steps.

Notes

Dress code is dancewear of any type for girls (leotard and tights, unitard, leggings and dance top, etc.) and dancewear or exercise wear for boys (shorts/warm-ups and T-shirt, etc.) No pants that cover the shoes, no hair in face, no dangling jewelry. Shoes required for performances: Tan tap shoes for girls and black tap oxfords for boys.
